'Timeless' performance in 5 languages by Nina Kristofferson

Electrifying, spine-tingling, sparkling 5*
Review by Marysia Zipser [link to EPK version]

A cross-cultural, diverse and scintillating performance by Nina Kristofferson in a ‘Woman’s World’ wowed the Pizza Express LIVE audience at The Pheasantry, Chelsea on Saturday night.

Nina kicked off her new ‘Timeless’ collection of cover songs with James Brown’s ‘It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World’ and ended with Dean Martin’s ‘Mambo Italiano’.

Her self-penned 5* Award-nominated ‘Billie Holiday Story’ which has been a UK smash hit 2011-2018, paved the way for her to update her ‘Timeless’ selection of cover songs in five languages, to appeal to today’s cross cultured audience while saluting the Civil Rights Movement.

Nina’s version of Nina Simone’s ‘My Baby Just Cares For Me’ brought the audience swinging their shoulders to its pulsating rhythm.

By the end of the night, the audience got up and ecstatically moved and danced to her rendition of ‘Mambo Italiano’. Masterly accompanying her were West End show Musical Director and pianist John G Smith, and guitarist James Pusey.

Nina’s second and final ‘Timeless’ performance wall be staged this Wednesday night 24th October at Zedel’s at Piccadilly.

Quote from Nina:

“I wanted to celebrate the mixed diverse culture all around us especially in London by using some of the most loved and well known artistes and their music to enjoy a
night’s celebration of what’s so brilliant and universal about us all – our love for
music. It is a fresh international, cross cultural approach celebration of music
through some incredibly beautiful songs.”
