Highlighting the value of travel and the sharing of stories

CULTURAL EXCHANGE

People connected to the ACT network travel internationally together to see great landmarks and along the way are securing tickets to highly competitive exhibitions, meeting new people and learning from each other's culture, architecture and way of life.

Cultural Exchange 2019 : Venice

Selection of photos from the Cultural Exchange tour to Venice in 2019.

For our February Carnevale visit arriving Saturday evening to Tuesday afternoon, there were six artists and photographers and we stayed at a very comfortable, luxurious and quietly located first floor apartment just 6 minutes walk from the main Grand Canale.

The back door led down to a pretty secluded garden.  The weather was glorious.  The Carnevale was colourful but pretty hectic during the weekend on the main squares and narrow streets leading off them, but we got to navigate our walking around the quieter and attractive streets and along the canals.

Cultural Exchange 2017 : Rome

Selection of photos from the Cultural Exchange tour to Rome in 2017.

On the tour we discovered the Garden of Ninfa, described as ”the most romantic garden in the world” and ”Italy’s best kept secret” together with Castelli Romani, the historic Roman castles area of Rome.

It was a fantastic 4 days, and my warmest thanks to my lovely Italian friends Mauro Mercanti and Giancarlo Antonini who live outside Frascati.  Mauro, grazie mille for your generosity and wonderful tours of Ninfa, the best bits of central Rome, Frascati and Gandolfini!  They are treasured memories.
