In conversation with Roberto Alborghetti - pt 2

Watch part 1 - https://youtu.be/qF2ACEeEClg PART TWO of The Ghost Bus 2019 - In Conversation with...Roberto Alborghetti - Wed 5th June 2019 Roberto Alborghetti, the official biographer to Pope Francis, visual artist, best selling author and award-winning environmental journalist interviewed by William Ranieri (from Brighton's Latest TV and Ranieri Films). For one evening Roberto Alborghetti was on stage sharing his fascinating stories which span secrets from the Vatican kitchens in Rome to how a decaying old vehicle in a former bus garage in Beeston inspired his film, The Ghost Bus. The audience from across the country came together on Wednesday evening June 5th to hear Roberto talk about what inspires him and how art is actually lurking around each and every corner of our day to day lives if only we took the time to observe it. Nostalgia for 1950's coach tours, the passage of time and a sense of homecoming has created this enduring legacy of the Ghost Bus project. This was itself originally inspired by close observation by Roberto of a long-preserved historic coach in Bartons' Docking Shops, buildings which currently house an unusual and much-loved events space where this recording was captured. These elements made this 'In Conversation with' evening a very special night. The Ghost Bus project featured with its short films and musical compositions, some from local Beeston singer-songwriter, Jeanie Barton means this one-off event has also come to its spiritual home. This special Ghost Bus event - “In Conversation with… .Roberto Alborghetti” took place on Wednesday 5th June from 7 pm at The Gallery, 43 High Road, Beeston, NG9 4AJ.
